Rick Vaive: Most Underrated Toronto Maple Leafs Player of All Time?

He spent 13 seasons in the NHL, captaining the Toronto Maple Leafs for 3 of them, and nearly reached the coveted 500 goals mark in that time. And yet Rick Vaive still never seems to get the credit he deserves as a league-changing force on the ice.

This week he joins The Sign Off: A Frameworth Podcast to talk about what it was like playing in the WHA around the time of the NHL merger, his experiences working with Harold Ballard, and his feelings around a career which he fees was cut short in spite of the fact that he had more to give.

You can read more about his life in his book Catch-22: My Battles, in Hockey and Life: https://www.amazon.ca/Catch-22-Battles-Hockey-Life/dp/0735280290
